Stream J. Cole's new concept album "KOD."

J. Cole has been MIA from the music scene for the past year and a half, last hitting us with his 4 Your Eyez Only album back in December of 2016, but earlier this week he returned from his hiatus to surprise fans with the announcement of his 5th studio album K.O.D, which he revealed after his free show Monday night would be dropping in a matter of days on 4/20. Well now that time has come, and K.O.D has officially arrived.
The 12-track project, which once again has no features other than his alter-ego kiLL Edward, has three meanings for the acronym "K.O.D," including King OverdosedKill Our Demons, and Kids On Drugs. The album cover has a disclaimer in white text, saying “This album is in now way intended to glorify addiction,” and it appears Cole took a conceptual route to tackle the usage of drugs to escape coping with personal issues. In fact, the acronym "Kids On Drugs" refers to kids confronting their personal issues with recreational & prescription drugs as seen by the back album cover.
Interesting enough, the project ends with the outro “1985,” which not only is the year Jermaine was born, but will reportedly serve as an intro into Cole’s next untitled project as well.
Available now on iTunes, fans can stream the concept album in its entirety via Apple Music. Hit play and let us know what record you’re feeling the most?

NAV

NAV
Navraj Singh Goraya was born on November 3, 1989, in TorontoOntario and was raised in the city's Rexdale neighborhood. He is of Punjabi descent; his parents were born in Punjab, India. His mother was a computer manufacturer and his father was a forklift driver. Goraya first became interested in music after his mother bought him a boombox in the third grade. His uncle, who was a popular singer in India, also brought him to a studio. He began making mash-ups in high school and producing beats for local underground Toronto artists and became popular on SoundCloud. Goraya first started producing using Sony's ACID Pro software                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  NAV is an artist who recently got introduced to the mainstream after the weekend signed him to his XO label and linked up with metro booming on his debut album. Although NAV is the hottest newest member of XO much of his come up remains a mystery as well as his professional and personal life closed.
NAV claims to be able to produce beats on just about any equipment but used but used logic pro x when he was starting off his career. As an underground rapper, he was known as beats by Nav and mainly made beats for artists who hit him up via Twitter. The first time most hip-hop fans heard Nav was on the meek mill diss track back to back by Drake and NO! Nav didn't rap on the track, he was heavily involved in the beats and production of the track along with three other producers.
NAV was thank and took to twitter saying '' Blessed I could be a part of drakes diss, thank you Daxz416''. That following year he dropped his first track on SoundCloud titled take me simple which has since gotten his seven million plays, He later followed it up with myself and up which caught the eye of Kylie Jenner who co-signed him and put the song myself on her snap chat. Since then NAV has never been the same.
In September 2016 he produced and co-wrote Biebs in the trap with Travis Scott as well as appeared in the video which was released December 28, 2016.
In 2017 NAV produced his self-titled mixtape with XO and republic records which hit number four in the Canadian chat and number 9 on the United States charts and all this was done before he even dropped his debut album.
NAV has done pretty well for himself, a couple years ago nobody really knew him, he was practically unknown.A lot of discussions about his music and his style. very few people say its boring but I personally like it and he doesn't just say garbage, it sounds like he is telling a story about himself but with a twist, and his wordplay is really good, he is truly unique.

A few of the mass say nav doesn't show emotions or put effort into his music, they say he sounds the same throughout, which is true but it works for him so I have no problem with that.
NAV said he was influenced by Nas, Jay z, and 50 cent and claims he has big features on his new album but he won't disclose just yet. he also said he likes to meet rappers organically to make the music experience better and ''more fire'' as he said.He also said he has so many songs and beats he couldn't even keep track of them, he said in these words '' there is so much shit going on I cant keep track of that shit.

The mysterious label around takeshi 69 and trippie red

The mysterious label around takeshi 69 and trippie red
Takeshi 69 and trippie red are rappers who everyone thought were independent until they signed to strange session music label under universal music group. Takeshi 69 reportedly signed to cash money which ended up being a lie, however, trippie red definitely signed for management under quality control which he clarified with and an Instagram live video stating ''for those who don't know, you feel me? I'm not signed to QC music, I'm signed to the other shit they got, the management.
you have probably heard of QC from the Migos but is home to other Atlantic rappers such as rich the kid, lil yatchy (I'm not really sure I got the spelling correct oh well) and many more rappers.
After doing a research my self I came across a list of XXL freshmen and the number of streams they had. I found that trippie red came in fourth place while Takeshi 69 came in fifth place but both of them were listed as being signed to ten thousand projects. what was crazy to me was that in a group of 20-30 nominees trippie red and takeshi69 where so high in streams without being signed to major labels.
Takeshi 69
There are so many questions to be answered like how the label started, how they managed to grab two of the hottest rappers before the major labels could?
After checking the project's website I discovered that ten thousand projects are based in Los Angeles, founded in 2016 and are independent but that's all I could really see because they didn't really reveal a lot about themselves. Eventually, I broke through and came across an old post which explained that strange session music was in fact involved in a lawsuit back in 2018 over copyright issues. it was stated that Tech nine, a long time founder of his own successful music label (strange music) sued Elliot Grainge and his strange music label and eventually won.
Grainge had to change the name of his music label but there is nowhere online that states that he did.
Are you wondering who Elliot is? he is the son of Lucian Grainge, the CEO of universal music records the largest music record in the world. lucian Grainge is one of the most influential people when it comes to music he has working with acts like the rolling stone down to Rihanna.

Takeshi 69 has been making waves since 2017 and he doesn't look like he will stop anytime soon.
speaking to open face, Takeshi explains that he didn't just blow up overnight, claiming he had been poping in Europe, South America and even Africa, how true that is I really don't know but I don't see why he should lie. he claims that he stands out for the kids who can't stand up for themselves, it being cyberbullying or normal bullying, he claims that's why he has such weird hair and a weird personality.
69 track Gummo put him on the map internationally even before he was signed, giving him a bigger platform of audiences. Most recently he claimed to have signed a very lucrative record deal, but he also added his dose of sarcasm in the caption, so we’ll have to wait until our sources can confirm or deny his alleged “$7.5 million” signing.

After working with Trippie Redd for some time, Coach K has announced that the rapper has officially signed to Quality Control's management company Solid Foundation. "Welcome To The Family," Coach wrote on Instagram, sharing a video of a lively Trippie performance.
